While both options have their pros and cons, it ultimately comes down to personal preference and the specific dive location. One of the main benefits of travelling with your own scuba gear is that it is familiar and comfortable to use. If you have been diving with the same gear for a while, you know exactly how it fits and performs. This can be especially important when diving in challenging conditions, as you want to feel confident in your equipment. Additionally, traveling with your own gear means you don’t have to worry about the availability or quality of rental gear. However, there are also some drawbacks to travelling with scuba gear.
